ABOUT SPORTS MASSAGE
Sports Therapy

Sports Massage is the manipulation of the soft tissues of the body for injury prevention and recovery.

Specific massage techniques are used to increase blood flow to the injured area, releasing toxins and making way for new fluids to stimulate the healing process.

Muscle fibres and fascia are stretched to release tension and restrictive scar tissue (caused by old injuries and micro-trauma), are broken down to increase mobility of the affected area and reduce any referred symptoms.

Sports massage when taken at regular intervals can be used to help prevent injuries, speed up muscle recovery between periods of exercise and reduce muscle soreness.

  ADVANCED SPORTS THERAPY
